Warden (part-time/ad hoc basis)

Hilldrop Area Community Association is seeking a Warden/Caretaker to open and close the community centre to private hirers during evenings and weekends.

 

The Warden will provide assistance to hirers by briefing them on our Health & Safety procedures, assisting with setting up and putting away tables & chairs, and ensuring that the centre is clean, tidy and secure after use.

 

We are looking for someone with a helpful and friendly attitude, a willingness to work flexibly and ability to occasionally attend the building at short notice. Some experience of Health and Safety or premises management is desirable. The role would suit someone who lives locally or within easy travelling distance.

 

Excellent verbal communication skills, a professional manner and an ability to communicate with all of our diverse community are essential.

This role is paid at the London living wage rate of £10.75 per hourly transaction.

Play Worker (part-time 15hrs p/w)

Hilldrop Area Community Association  is seeking a fun and experienced Play Worker to join the Play Project Team and work with the After School Club during term time.

Working with children aged 4-11 years old, your primary responsibility will be the delivery of high-quality play activities which promote participation, inclusion and wellbeing, in a safe and welcoming environment.

 

You'll support children to follow their own ideas and interests as well as lead a variety of interesting and fun activities including free and natural play, sports and games and art and crafts.

 

You'll have experience of working with children in a similar setting and being part of a professional team, with an understanding of a child-centred approach to activities.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check for working with children and 2 satisfactory references.
